Job Title: Junior Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Greater London (Multi-Site Role – Mechanical & Electrical Projects)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + package annually
Job Description:
A reputable mechanical and electrical contractor is seeking a
Junior Health and Safety Advisor to support multiple M&E projects across the Greater London area. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career health and safety professional to gain valuable experience on live construction sites, assisting with the implementation and monitoring of safety procedures on a variety of building services projects, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC installations.
Working closely with senior H&S staff and project teams, you will play a key role in promoting a positive health and safety culture across all sites.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Help deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and contribute to maintaining high safety standards.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, supporting reporting and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and records across all sites.
Requirements: - 1–2 years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally within construction or M&E environments.
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards completion).
- Basic understanding of CDM Regulations and construction site safety.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Greater London sites.
