Regional EHS Manager - Main Contractor - UK Nationwide

GDS Partners are recruiting for a Regional EHS Manager for a leading Main Contractor involved in Data Centre builds nationwide

Our client is a well-established Main Contractor specialising in the delivery of large-scale mission-critical construction projects across the UK and Europe. They have built an excellent reputation for delivering complex Data Centre projects to the highest standards of quality, innovation, and safety, and are committed to maintaining industry-leading Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across all projects.

About the Role

  • Salary of up to £120,000 + Comprehensive Package (DOE).

Main Duties Will Include, But Not Be Limited To:
  • Lead and manage the Health & Safety function across all UK projects, providing strategic direction to the wider EHS team.
  • Manage, mentor, and support EHS Leads, Managers and Advisors across projects nationwide.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, management systems, and standards across the UK business.
  • Provide senior-level EHS guidance to Project Directors, Project Managers, and senior management.
  • Oversee EHS performance across the UK portfolio through site visits, inspections, audits, and management reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, company standards, client requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Oversee serious accident, incident, near-miss, and high-potential event investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor regional EHS performance, KPIs, trends, and reporting, presenting key findings and risks to senior management.
  • Ensure all UK projects are appropriately resourced and supported from an EHS perspective, including mobilisation of new projects.
  • Drive a consistent positive safety culture and continuous improvement across all UK projects and EHS teams.
To Be Successful in Your Application, You Will Possess the Following:
  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience within Health & Safety in the construction sector.
  • Previous experience in Construction Health and Safety, ideally in Data Centres, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale construction projects, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Experience leading Health & Safety on major construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
