GDS is currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of a well-established and respected contractor operating across the UK. Job Description:
An experienced Health and Safety Advisor is required to support a high-profile construction and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on ensuring robust health, safety, and environmental practices are implemented and maintained across multiple sites. You will work closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with current legislation and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Provide practical health and safety advice to site teams and management.
Support the development and implementation of project-specific HSE plans.
Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and HSE training sessions.
Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and other relevant legal requirements.
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role within construction or related sectors.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
Sound understanding of UK HSE legislation and industry best practice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple sites.
Full Clean UK Driving License.
