GDS Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading Main Contractor permanently, supporting the delivery of a major £100 million construction project.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, subcontractors and site management to ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety are maintained throughout the project.
Main Duties Will Include
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and Health & Safety reviews.
- Review and monitor RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
- Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and company procedures.
- Work closely with site management and subcontractors to identify hazards and implement appropriate controls.
- Conduct and support accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings where required.
- Monitor subcontractor Health & Safety performance and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
- Maintain accurate H&S documentation, inspection records and reports.
- Promote a positive and proactive Health & Safety culture across the project.
- Provide practical H&S advice and support to the wider project team.
Requirements: - NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Previous Health & Safety experience within the construction industry, ideally within a Main Contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Experience with site inspections, audits, RAMS and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
