About the Role:GDS Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of an established Civils & RC Frames contractor operating in the North East of England.
Our client specialises in civil engineering, groundworks and reinforced concrete structures, delivering construction projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional looking to join a reputable contractor and play an important role in maintaining high standards of safety across site operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular site inspections, audits and Health & Safety assessments.
- Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Review and monitor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Provide practical Health & Safety advice and guidance to site management, operatives and subcontractors.
- Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate preventative measures.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with site-specific Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate Health & Safety documentation, inspection records and reports.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all site activities.
Requirements: - Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within the construction industry.
- Experience working on civil engineering, groundworks or RC Frames projects is highly desirable.
- Relevant Health and Safety Qualification.
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits and reviewing RAMS.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with site teams and management.
- Proactive, practical approach to identifying and managing site risks.
Salary & Benefits: - Circa £45,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
