About the Role GDS Partners are recruiting for a Graduate Health & Safety Advisor to join an established specialist organisation operating within the UK construction industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or trainee looking to begin and develop a long-term career in construction Health & Safety.
Based from the company’s Berkshire office, you will work closely with experienced Health & Safety and CDM professionals, receiving structured training and mentoring while gaining practical exposure to live construction projects.
No previous Health & Safety experience is required. The company is looking for someone with the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities - Support the Health & Safety and CDM team across live construction projects.
- Assist with the preparation and review of Health & Safety documentation.
- Gain practical experience carrying out construction site visits and inspections.
- Support the team with project compliance and general H&S administration.
- Develop an understanding of CDM Regulations and UK construction Health & Safety requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Work closely with experienced H&S professionals and learn from senior members of the team.
- Undertake relevant training and professional development as your experience progresses.
Requirements - Graduate or trainee looking to develop a career within Health & Safety and construction.
- Ideally based in Berkshire near Bracknell.
- Degree or relevant educational background advantageous but not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Confident using computers and standard office software.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage tasks effectively.
- Comfortable communicating with clients and construction professionals.
- Interest in developing both office-based and practical site H&S experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- No previous Health & Safety experience required.
