About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive and motivated
Graduate EHS Advisor to join a well-established organisation operating within the civil engineering, earthworks, and construction sectors. Based in the
East London area, this position is well suited to someone at an early stage of their EHS career who is keen to develop within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Working closely with the EHS Manager, the successful candidate will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS initiatives across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of SHEQ documentation, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and site safety plans.
- Help ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Contribute to incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor SHEQ performance metrics and assist in compiling data for internal reporting.
- Provide SHEQ guidance and ongoing support to project and site teams.
- Assist in delivering SHEQ inductions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across all workstreams.
Requirements - Relevant NEBOSH qualification or Level 3 equivalent.
- Basic understanding of SHEQ legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Good IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence, due to regular multi-site visits.
